Programs

The 2010-2011 program year got off to a bang with a screening of The Empire in Africa, a film by Phillipe Diaz about the former war in Sierra Leone. It is the true story of blood diamonds and you can find out more on our Review page. This year we're going to show (4) feature films during our monthly series at the New York Society for Ethical Culture, where in October we screened Skin a feature film by Anthony Fabian, that is the true story of Sandra Laing and a family torn apart by Race. We're anticipating a partnership with the Philocetetes Center on East 82nd St that will allow us to increase our service to the public. In addition, to this years Campus Programs this month we're kicking off program in the public school in partnership with the DOE.
